God is the almighty and all-powerful creator of the universe and is also the source of all love, joy and peace. But life sometimes can be difficult and stressful. We may find ourselves feeling distant from God, or believing that He has abandoned us or is punishing us for our mistakes. However, this is not the case.

Follow these steps to get God back in your life:

    • Admit your mistakes: We all make mistakes. It is important to fully admit and repent for our wrongdoings. Making amends with those we have wronged and accepting God’s mercy are the first steps back towards Him.
    • Ask forgiveness: Seek God’s forgiveness for any actions that have gone against His will. Asking for forgiveness is essential; it allows God to forgive us and let go of any grudges we have been holding against Him.
    • Build a relationship with God: Spend time each day praying, reading the bible and worshipping God. Doing so will help draw you closer to Him and strengthen your relationship.
    • Be open to His love: God’s love is infinite, so allowing yourself to be open to experiencing and accepting His love is essential. This includes extending forgiveness to yourself for any wrongdoings and failures.
    • Let go of past hurts: We all experience pain and suffering in life, but it is important not to wallow in that pain or allow it to cloud our relationship with God. Instead, choose to forgive and heal from the pain, and allow God to comfort you and work through it.

God is ever-present and will never leave us or forsake us. He loves us unconditionally and desires for us to come back to Him. If you take the time to seek Him, He will welcome you back with open arms.
