The Suite Life On Deck was one of the most popular Disney Channel shows during its time, and the one character everyone loved was Marcus “The Mose”, the resident ship’s handyman. He was the show’s comedic relief and even though he often got into trouble, he always seemed to be the life of the show.

Unfortunately, after three seasons of playing “The Mose”, Marcus decided to leave the show. So why did he decide to take his bow from the Suite Life?

The Role Just Didn’t Fit

When speaking to Sources , Marcus said that he originally thought that the role of the handyman on the ship would bring a lot of comedic relief to the show, but after season 1, he felt like that was all the character was ever going to be. He wanted to take on a larger role but the show just couldn’t find a place for him. So he decided to leave to pursue other opportunities.

He Wanted To Broaden His Horizons

Finally, Marcus was ready to explore new areas of acting and he felt like the show just wasn’t the right platform to do that. He wanted to challenge himself by trying different roles and expanding his talents to other genres. This decision to move on allowed him to finally spread his wings and pursue what he really wanted in his career.

So What’s He Been Up To?

Fortunately, Marcus has found success away from the Disney Channel. He has landed roles on other shows such as The Last OG, F Is For Family and has even had some voice acting roles in animated films such as The Nut Job 2. He also has been busy touring with his comedy shows across the USA.

Overall, it’s wonderful to see that Marcus’s career is going great and we can’t wait to see what he’ll do next. His impression on the Suite Life on Deck will never be forgotten and we’re happy he decided to leave to pursue greater opportunities.

Farewell Marcus!
